Ferry Street Re-paving Project Scheduled to Begin on Monday, August 31st!

As part of PSE&G’s Energy Strong Project, the re-paving of Ferry Street will begin next week – on or about Monday, August 31, 2015. Ironbound District businesses, residents and visitors are being advised of the following components of the work to be done:

  • Milling will begin Thursday, August 27, 2015 and take approximately 4 days.
  • Paving will begin on or about September 2nd or 3rd.
  • Re-striping of the roadway will begin immediately following paving.
  • Approximately 2 weeks later, work will begin to install the imprinted crosswalks.

Re-paving of other streets in the Ironbound District impacted by PSE&G’s Energy Strong Project is expected to begin in the weeks ahead as well. Schedule updates will be provided when they become available.
